Boudoir

Lady Boomers, this is  a delicate subject for some of us (forgive the pun).  We used to frequent Victoria Secret, possibly Frederick's, and other boutiques and department stores for nice under garments.  Camisoles, merry widows, teddies, teddy pants, bikini panties, garters, stockings, lacy bras, half bras, underwire bras, silky slips, satiny short robes, and more were our claim to fame!

Today, we've slowed down on many of these purchases or stopped buying them completely. (Are you wearing your full coverage, big girl panties now vs. cute bikini panties? chuckle) Yet, does this mean we're no longer SEXY?  I completely beg to differ!

Now granted, you might say, "look, I am VERRRY COMFORTABLE in my t-shirt and baggie lounge pants - and if my man or partner doesn't like it, well TOO BAD!"  Lol!

Ladies Ladies, we can do better than that!  At least every once in awhile.

Because, check it out, the Boomer woman has more desires and higher libido than she had in her younger womanhood.  Why??  Because NOW she knows what she LIKES and DOESN'T LIKE intimately.  And, when you can tell your partner how to turn you on, YOU got POWER!!

I recognize that our bodies have changed.  We have breasts that want to hang lower, poochier tummies, skin wanting to sag on arms, and legs that don't have the same allure as they used to.  But trust me, put on some sexy garment and watch your man do a double-take!

Alright, I'll get off my soapbox for a moment and give you some lingerie items to consider as well as learning to enjoy the boudoir again.  Have a few pieces of sensual things (if not more) in your arsenal.  Let yourself feel really FEMININE again.  Don't turn completely to those granny gowns and cotton pjs.  And don't think that those satiny pajamas qualify as sexy - THEY DO NOT!  Pajama pants cover up legs the way men's pants do, and exposed legs are part of our feminine appeal. Even in a kimono, your legs are easily accessed.

If you don't do it for your partner then do it for YOURSELF; let some sexy lingerie bring back a little sensuality to your life.  You'll be sooo glad you did!

There's nothing like some sexy boudoir mules to bring pizazz into the bedrom.  No, I'm not talking about some animal - these are the soft, fluffy heels that make a Boomer woman ready for romance.

If nothing else brings us beautiful appeal, it is having your picture taken in glamour shots.  Oh baby!  I did it, and I'll forever be glad that I did.  I have a host of glamour shots, yet here's the one I want to share.  I was in my early 40s when this was taken and, at 57, I'm READY to do it again!  Some glamour photos are placed in soft lighting which I find quite appealing.  Even more, you can have your pictures taken in boudoir/lingerie clothing or in a top or dress that is somewhat revealing; showing off your best features.  You could reveal your shoulder, breast bone, or of course, some cleavage.  Don't you think your husband/partner will see you just a little bit differently by doing this daring thing?  Shows you still have some zing or surprise in you!

A company called Glamour Shots can take these nice (or naughty) pics of you.  They can also do fabulous things like touch up teeth in photos to make them whiter, practically remove bags from under the eyes, soften wrinkles and saggy skin, plus so much more.  Why not wear a mask for some mystery or have your pics taken in black & white?  Glamour Shots also creates collages of your pics in many different ways, plus they can add to the collage some pics you already own. 

Please, please don't let your AGE be the thing that stops you from having these pics taken; you are BEAUTIFUL and can be made MORE BEAUTIFUL by the camera - OH YEAH!
